Rock wallabies and swamp wallabies are small to medium-sized marsupials native to Australia.
Rock wallabies, with agile bodies and grippy feet, live in rocky cliffs and gorges, leaping with precision. They eat grasses and leaves and are often solitary.
Swamp wallabies, larger and darker-furred, inhabit dense forests and wetlands, feeding on plants and fungi. Both face threats from habitat loss and predators like foxes. Rock wallabies are more vulnerable, with some species endangered, while swamp wallabies remain more common due to their adaptability.
