Opossums are marsupial animals and often called "nature's garbage collectors". They are found in the Americas, known for their cute, pointy snouts and their prehensile tails that are like built-in fifth limbs! These nocturnal critters spend their nights foraging for insects, small rodents, and carrion, keeping the ecosystems tidy. During the day, they snooze in cozy dens, often high up in trees or snuggled in burrows.
Despite being a bit misunderstood, opossums are incredibly useful. They're like the cute, furry maids of the wild, helping to control pest populations and keep things clean. Plus, they're surprisingly resilient, adapting well to urban environments.
