Jewellery by Melissa of The Tumbled Pebble is completely designed, created by hand and sold from her well-equipped, small home studio by the ocean at Wallabi Point, NSW. As an artisan jewellery maker, my pieces go through a long series of processes including designing, sawing, filing, soldering, casting, stone setting and the many stages of polishing. I work with the utmost care in the manufacture of my pieces which are usually one of a kind, limited run or bespoke variations of existing pieces. I take pride in the handmade aesthetic that is missing in mass produced items. 

I purchase ethically sourced metals for my jewellery from an Australian business. I also recycle my own scrap to forge or sand cast unique pieces. Gems and stones are usually sourced from Australian suppliers, personal fossicking collections and beach finds but occasionally from overseas gem suppliers. Included in my handmade repertoire, I also carve unique, one of a kind pieces from wax to have professionally cast using the ancient lost wax technique. To complement some pieces of my jewellery, I do use quality Italian made necklaces and clasps.

Orders will be shipped on Mondays and Thursdays. Pick up can be arranged by meet up at the Wallabi Point Coastal Cafe.

Returns and Exchanges

Every piece is made to order and leaves The Tumbled Pebble studio in perfect condition. In the rare event of an unobserved defect, we offer a 30-day warranty. We will offer a repair or replacement once the item has been proven to be faulty.

This warranty does not cover neglect, loss of items, chain breakage, and general wear and tear. General wear and tear includes scratching and tarnishing and fading of silver or gold jewellery, and therefore, is not covered by warranty. Rings warping from heat and heavy exercising are not covered. Please treat your jewellery with care.

The warranty is voided if the jewellery has been, altered and modified, damaged by accident, misuse, and discolouration caused by foreign substances. Please note that contact with foreign substances such as hand sanitiser, cleaning agent, cosmetic products, chlorine in pools and spas, and acidic skin types can cause discolouration. Tarnishing and discolourations caused by the above reasons will not be covered under this warranty. Please remove jewellery before swimming, cleaning or washing and when applying lotions.

Due to the nature of handmade jewellery, some variations, inclusions or makers marks may be present in your piece. I take great pride in the creativity, and workmanship in my pieces and it is my goal to provide the highest quality hand-crafted jewellery at affordable prices. Please read product descriptions and view product photos carefully as I try to represent the product as accurately as possible. All metals tarnish. This is not a fault in the jewellery.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact me as soon as you receive your purchase!

We accept all returns within 14 days of receiving your orders.

You are eligible for a return/exchange if the items purchased are:

• Faulty
• Different from a sample shown
• Wrong sizes - please read product description carefully for sizing to avoid this

Items should be unworn and in their original packaging.

Please note that our earrings are NON-returnable for reasons of hygiene and safety.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we can't accept returns for:

• Custom or personalized orders
• Earrings (for health/hygiene reasons)
• Items on sale

Conditions of return items:

• You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item, and having your exchanged product sent to you. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund from the original purchase, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
• We recommend using registered/traceable post as we do not hold responsibility for lost packages. For jewellery over $100 also consider insurance.
• Any refunds or exchange products will only be forwarded to you after I receive the original piece in new, unused condition.

This policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you an exchange.
