These easy to wear, handmade earrings have cubes of lapis lazuli suspended from sterling silver squares that I textured using fabric in a rolling mill. The pattern of the mesh fabric complements the shapes of the beads to create these dangle earrings. I have oxidised the silver to highlight the texture and give an antiqued patina. The earrings measure just under 5cm from the top of the ear wire to the base of the dangle.
Since the earliest of times, Lapis Lazuli has been said to impart strength and courage, wisdom, intellect and truth. It contains gold flecks of pyrite.
