A sublime, leafy-green prehnite with a matte finish is the star of this handmade sterling and fine silver ring - it glows like the light in a forest or under the sea. The stone is bezel set in chunky fine silver and bears the marks of being handmade. The shank of the ring is textured with a hammer to create a diagonal pattern - it was raining as I made this ring and I liken this texture to rainfall - complementing the colour of the stone. Green is the perfect symbol of growth, renewal and the cycles of life and embodies our connection to the natural world. THis ring is a series of one - totally one-of-a kind.
The prehnite stone in this ring has subtle variations in colour and has a mark on its surface which is a natural inclusion. Please examine the photos carefully as I have tried to represent the stone and ring accurately. Prehnite has a hardness of 6.5 which is durable but still relatively soft and can scratch if not handled with care. Avoid impact or pressure and store separately in a padded pouch to protect from scratches from other gems and jewellery.
