One of a kind pendant hand made from green sea glass hand picked on a secret Sydney beach by my sister and set into a fine and sterling silver bezel. The bail has a spiral detail on the back to represent the wave action that has tumbled this piece of glass. The pendant is approximately 3cm long and hangs from a quality 50cm Italian sterling silver rolo chain. The glass is a mid-dark olive green but changes in the light as I have tried to show in the photographs.
Sea glass has a unique and smooth texture created by years of tumbling in the ocean. Its translucent colours and ocean-worn appearance give sea glass jewellery pieces a distinctive and environmentally-inspired aesthetic.
Jewellery from The Tumbled Pebble studio is hand made individually by me, Melissa. Most pieces will be unique, one-off or limited edition designs where I hand craft each component with pride and care. While I take the utmost care, my jewellery bears the character of handmade items - perfect imperfection.
Care Instructions: sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time. Wipe over jewellery with a soft cloth after wearing to remove body oils and cosmetics (use gentle dish liquid and a soft toothbrush if it gets very oily), and avoid wearing in chlorinated or salt water. Store in a sealed container.
