The black pebble in this sterling silver ring has been naturally tumbled by the Pacific Ocean waves on the shores of Wallabi Point Beach on the east coast of Australia. It is bezel set in fine and sterling silver with textured, radiating lines and has had a light patina added. The pebble took on a luscious sheen during the polishing process of the silver. The ring has a secret, quirky dragonfly cutout on the back of the bezel plate.

I often pick up a pebble to hold while I walk along the beach and contemplate its origins. I wonder: Which mountain did it break off? How long did it take to wash down our rivers to land on the beach and gently be tumbled by the ocean.
