Description
The rainforest of Dorrigo Mountain is interpreted in this wall hanging. The leaves, flower, vines and gecko are painted in metallic acrylics on black cotton. Both the painted and unpainted areas were then quilted with black thread to add texture. This is my own design, and unique. The back is a blue batik, and the quilting shows. The acrylic paint used is designed for fabric and has been heat-set so, if necessary, the hanging can be washed in cold water and dried in the shade. The hanging can be ironed on a cotton setting if necessary. n the back are two triangles of fabric, near the top, to allow a rod to be inserted for hanging. Contact me if you want this explained more clearly. The hanging is bound on the edges, and measures 46 cm x 55 cm.
