This silk scarf is hand eco printed with eucalyptus leaves from Parkes in the Central West of NSW.

Vibrant reds and pinks shades showing the clear shape of the beautiful round leaves.

90cm x 90cm square 100% silk with hand rolled hem

The softness of the silk is beautiful and can be worn all year round.

The eco-printing process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for many hours. I use a piece of salvaged metal in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. I don't use any chemical or powdered mordants in any of my products. The scarves are colourfast and can be washed by hand with a pure soap.
