Pure merino wool wrap scarf ecoprinted with eucalyptus

• 100% pure merino wool shawl wrap, soft high quality merino wool.
• Hand printed with eucalyptus leaves, gumnuts and stems, capturing nature beautifully.
• The finished colours given by the leaves are tones of bright red, orange and with softer shades over the scarf.

• The ecoprinting process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for four hours. I use a piece of salvaged iron in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. No chemical or powdered mordants are used in any of my products. The scarves are colourfast and can be washed by hand with a pure soap and ironed gently on the wool setting.
