These earrings are giving a beachy vibe.

The discs are cut from recycled copper sheet. They are then enamelled on the back with black powdered enamel, two layers.

Once cooled the front is then cleaned to remove any fire scale and enameled with white powdered enamel and fired in my until fused to the copper disc. The white enamel is applied twice to give a lovely opaque coverage.

Now that the back and the front have been enamelled I’ve used china paints in blue and green and painted them to give an ombré effect. Once the paints have dried I’ve used a toothpick to scratch the circles into the paint to reveal the white enamel from underneath. The china paints are then fired until fused to the white enamel.

Each disc measures 2.1cm in diameter

The total drop of the earring from the top of the ear hook to the bottom of the disc is 3.2cm in length
