My Pottery Story

I'm a Brisbane based potter, my love affair with clay started about a decade ago while I was living in the beautiful surrounds of Maleny.

For me, there's something uniquely grounding about working with clay. From the very first moment I touched the clay, I knew I had found my calling. The process creates an unparalleled sense of calm and focus. It’s incredibly fulfilling to take a random piece of earth and transform it into a piece of art that can be used every day.

The Clay and The Craft

My work is primarily focused on functional ware—mugs, bowls, serving bowls / plates and pieces designed to bring beauty to your daily routine. That said, I can't resist the occasional piece of whimsy or décor that lets my creativity run free!

My pieces are created using several techniques, including the traditional method of wheel throwing, hand-forming using a slab roller and moulds to form my pieces, and slip-casting, which uses liquid clay poured into plaster moulds.

No matter the process, I am committed to quality. I proudly use only high-quality Australian clays and finish my work with food-safe, dinnerware-safe glazes, ensuring every piece is safe and built to last.
