This handmade, pottery, plate features a truly unique and appealing surface created by a two-tone reactive glaze. A base coat of creamy, light beige provides a soft, warm foundation. This base is dramatically punctuated by a scattering of dark, iron-rich speckles that emerge during the firing process. This dynamic effect creates a rustic, organic pattern across the surface, ensuring a natural, artisanal look.
Measuring a generous 29 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm height from the rim to the table, making it an ideal size for main courses, serving shared platters, or simply functioning as a stunning statement piece.
This piece was made in my studio in Brisbane with care and attention to each detail, from the hand formed shape and finish to the selection of the glaze.
