This beautiful oval plate was handmade in my studio in Brisbane. It’s created from a rolled slab of light brown speckled clay and formed over a wooden mould which creates this amazingly versatile plate. The glaze is a green crystal glaze, the crystals melt during firing creating the speckled look to the glaze, the finish contrasts beautifully with the unglazed base.
Use it for charcuterie, as a centrepiece, or by the kitchen sink with your handwash and wash up liquid or in the bathroom for your shampoo and conditioner beside the shower! So versatile!
