Whimsy In Full Bloom ....the Story in the Brushstrokes
The sky shimmered in shades of lemon yellow, not the washed-out kind, but bold and buttery—like the world had been warmed from above and decided to stay that way. The pink earth beneath was soft and steady, pulsing with a gentle hum, like it remembered every footstep and stored each one with care.
Everywhere she looked, red feathery blooms reached up in joyful spikes, dancing even when there was no breeze—like they had their own rhythm, one only they could hear. Winding through them was a single, curious purple vine, curling and twisting like a thought halfway formed, heading somewhere with no clear destination but certain it belonged.
She paused beside a patch of green poppy-like flowers, their round petals turned gently outward as if listening. Nestled nearby were mauve fine-line flowers, delicate and detailed, etched like poetry on the landscape—quiet companions who held space without needing to speak.
It was a dream, maybe. Or a memory of what dreaming used to feel like. Either way, it was hers. A place where time softened, the world brightened, and everything made just enough sense to feel like home.
