Natural Australian Lepidolite and Sterling Silver Pendant ~ handcrafted by Karina and Mike of Karmic Star
Lepidolite is one of my favourite stones, not only because it is purple, but also as it is said to be useful in balancing emotions and mood swings, and thought to be helpful in releasing old patterns, inducing change and encouraging independence.
This particular Lepidolite stone is full of surprises – the raw material (which comes from the Kalgoorlie area of Western Australia) is a speckley grey-purple colour, but as Mike was shaping and polishing it, it became a gloriously rich, deep purple that is so dark it’s almost black. And just to make it even more interesting, there are patterns through the stone : patches of white quartz and shimmery star-bursts of mica.
Once Mike was happy with his finished stone, he then handed it to me to embrace with Australian made, ethically sourced 925 Sterling Silver, which I have oxidised and polished to complete this magickal treasure.
