What's better than a lovely pendant or a charm? Two charms!
These twin small pendants / charms feature a deep red garnet and a delicately detailed cardinal bird. The cardinal was made by melting my clean silver offcuts and pressing them into an impression die to create a three-dimensional component. The die itself is a work of art as it features artwork of a master carver. The pieces have been given a subtle patina to make the details pop, and feature a rustic texture on the back. They come ready to wear on sterling silver chain.
Cardinals carry special symbolism, being thought of as messengers or conduit to our loved ones who passed on, connection to the spiritual world, and a symbol of wisdom or blessing.

Care:
It is a natural property of sterling silver to acquire patina over time. How fast this happens depends on many environmental factors. To ensure your jewellery looks its best for year to come, put it on last after applying all cosmetic products and perfumes, and take it off first before heading into shower. Best to take off jewellery when engaging in strenuous exercise, bathing/swimming and particularly hot tub, sleeping. Store jewellery after cleaning in a dry place away from dust, excess humidity and direct sunlight - prolonged exposure may cause some stones to fade over time. Best keeping individual items in a protective pouch to prevent scratches.
