I was a painter until I attended a spoon carving workshop 8 years ago and I've been carving ever since. I like to make functional items that are well crafted, beautiful to look at and a joy to use. I work with mostly Australian timbers that are all sustainably sourced. Sometimes I use American walnut because it's just so gorgeous and other good carving timbers that are 'weeds' in Australia (eg jacaranda, camphor laurel).

I carve nearly every day and also run carving workshops in Meanjin/Brisbane.
