Hello! I’m Alison Ashbourne, the designer behind Green Acre Designs. I create from our little acre of bushland in the Hunter Valley, where we live a slow and intentional life. Our two golden retriever brothers, two goat sisters, our many chickens and our beautiful gardens fill our days with joy and happiness.

Creating sewing patterns and surface designs is my happy place. I love turning my ideas and sketches into designs that can brighten someone’s day. As a lover of all things fabric, becoming a designer for Phoebe Fabrics has been a dream come true.

When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me sewing, pottering around the garden, reading, or spending time with my husband Brad and our adult children.

I wake up every morning excited to create, and I’m so happy to share that creative life with you here on Made It. I hope my work brings a little calm, colour and delight into your world.
