Linoprint and hand-painted individually with watercolours.

Kiwi are flightless birds endemic to New Zealand of the order Apterygiformes. The five extant species fall into the family Apterygidae and genus Apteryx. Approximately the size of a domestic chicken, kiwi are the smallest ratites.

Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers of the genus Dacelo native to Australia and New Guinea, which grow to between 28 and 47 cm in length and weigh around 300 g. The name is a loanword from Wiradjuri guuguubarra, onomatopoeic of its call. 

I have created the print by hand-carving a piece of lino, rolling ink onto the linocut and hand-printing the print onto the watercolour paper.

I have then painted the linoprint with lightfast watercolours.

Ink: Caligo Safe Wash - Oil-based and lightfast pigment

Watercolour: Dr PH Martins - Hydrus watercolours

Paper: 300gsm Watercolour Paper - Acid free

Paper size: Height 200mm x Width 280mm

Image size: Height 125mm x Width 180mm

Your hand-signed, hand-painted edition print will be one of only "30" printed, each one slightly different which makes it unique.

The print is sold unmounted and unframed.

The image can be framed as is within a window mount. Picture framers will cut window mounts to size if you wish to use an existing frame.If you would like a specific print created please feel free to contact me.
