I have worked with clay for 25 years.

My love of muddy hands was born when, as a young girl, I sat in the studio of Ruth, the potter who lived next door. She was one of my favourite people in the world, and her studio was a haven for me. A place of calm, quiet creativity.

I now live and create in the beautiful Gipsland Lakes district in Victoria, nestled between the lake and 90 Mile Beach. A lot of my work is inspired by the natural world around me, from which I derive great peace, strength and creative inspiration.

I think of Ruth the potter every day when I enter my studio, and thank her for imparting the love of pottery to that little girl, forty odd years ago.
