Hi I'm Lainey from LolaYarnCraft!
Every Beanie and plushie in my store is lovingly hand knitted or crocheted by me in the Central Highlands of Tasmania.
From about the age of 5, my Mum, 'Lola' to my two boys, encouraged me to practise knitting with her wool and needles stash. The joy I felt when I created something with my own hands (no matter how wonky!) was so motivating!
In 2020, I discovered that whilst knitting and crochet was quite therapeutic and enjoyable, I was able to create things that I wanted to share! And so came LolaYarnCraft.
My beanie collection is made from high quality, ethically sourced Merino wool or single origin Alpaca. I love that I'm supporting other Australian small businesses when I use local grown Merino, Alpaca or artisan handyed yarns.
My crochet plushies and baby gifts are made with a focus of being a long lasting keepsake of softness and squish factor for sensory comfort and play. Each plushie crocheted by hand and securely sewn finished.
I have an extensive library full of different patterns that inspire me and I enjoy bringing custom orders to life!

Everything is handmade by me in the Central Highlands of Tasmania on our sheep and cattle farm but in a smoke and pet free environment.
