Folly & Form is my ceramic practice, based in Walyalup (East Fremantle), Western Australia.
Clay has been part of my life since childhood, growing up in rural England with a ceramicist father and spending countless hours in his workshop. After many years away from ceramics, returning to the potter’s wheel felt less like starting again and more like coming home.
My work brings together functional pottery and more whimsical sculptural pieces, made predominantly on the wheel and finished by hand. I draw from the landscapes, colours and textures of Western Australia, memories of the English countryside, and a love of simple, enduring forms.
I’m interested in making pieces that carry evidence of the hand and a little personality, while still belonging comfortably in everyday life. Whether it’s a mug used every morning or a small creature that exists simply to make someone smile, I want my work to be used, loved and gradually woven into the stories of the homes it finds its way into.

Every piece is handmade by me in my East Fremantle studio from the first lump of clay to the final glaze.

Change of Mind:
Because ceramics are highly fragile and costly to ship, all sales are final. I do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges if you change your mind. Each piece is unique and handmade, so tiny variations in glaze, size, and shape are a natural part of the art. Please review all photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Damaged or Faulty Items:
Your order will be packed with the utmost care. However, if the courie breaks your item during transit, please email me a photo of the damaged piece and its packaging within 48 hours of delivery. I will gladly work with you to arrange a replacement or process a refund through Madeit Support.
