Hi, I’m Evelyn — a watercolour artist based in Western Australia.

My studio sits quietly upstairs in my home, surrounded by a wall of my own creations. It’s where I find calm away from the rush of everyday life — a space where paint, water, and paper meet and guide me. I paint to express myself, to slow down, and to bring a sense of peace and beauty into my world.

Flowers are my constant inspiration — their shapes, colours, and endless variety. I love exploring the balance between realism and abstraction, vibrancy and softness, looseness and detail. Some days I paint intuitively, letting water and pigment touch freely across the paper. Other days, I work with quiet intention, layering until the florals feel alive.

My journey with watercolour began in high school — my first paintings were a pear, a bouquet of orchids, and a copy of a laundry box cover. I remember how it made me feel — completely absorbed. I didn’t paint again for many years, until 2018, when my daughter showed an interest in watercolour. We picked up brushes together, and something inside me came home.

Since then, painting has become my way to pause, breathe, and reconnect. It’s my meditation, my joy, and my way of sharing calm with others. Every piece I create is a reflection of that stillness — a quiet reminder to slow down, notice beauty, and let it fill your space.

Change of Mind Returns

If you’ve changed your mind about your purchase, please email me at evelyntangstudio@gmail.com within 10 days of receiving your item. My sincere apologies that any item that has been personalised will not be eligible for return or exchange.

Once the return is approved, I’ll provide the return address. Return shipping is at your expense, and the item must arrive in its original, undamaged, and resalable condition. I recommend reusing the original packaging if possible, or using secure packaging to ensure it arrives safely.

Damaged on Arrival (DOA)

If your item arrives damaged, I sincerely apologise. Unfortunately, once the item has been handed over to the mailing service such as AusPost, I do not have control over its condition and shipping time.

However, please email me at evelyntangstudio@gmail.com and I will see if together we can work to get some compensation from the courier company to pass on to you.
