Crowns of Grace – Soft, layered blooms unfold gracefully against a backdrop of leaves. Painted in gouache and inspired by the expressive brushwork of the old Impressionist masters, I chose to give the white flowers brilliant pink centres. On the outside, the petals may appear fragile and delicate, but inside lies a fiery, passionate core—subtle contrasts that invite the viewer to look deeper and discover the energy within. I shaped each bloom intuitively, allowing layers, texture, and gesture to convey both the quiet grace and inner vitality of these blossoms.
