The story behind this collection
This collection has been developed in response to my Honours research at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney where I looked into the aesthetic and use of writing in craft practice, particularly in a European context.
Old family documents are silent reminders of people, places and events that hold an important place in our hearts. This collection emphasizes this connection between the writer, the wearer and their jewellery.
Each piece is made with a Sterling Silver sheet that has been photo-etched using old documents from my family's collections. The rings have a matt finish to provide the best contrast for the etched and oxidised text.
This model can easily be adjusted anywhere in the world and is the perfect original gift!
