Small ornamental basket in ocean colours

This sweet decorative basket is woven from beautiful mottled blue, softest green and natural, sandy coloured Madagascan raffia. All the colours of a sunny day at the beach.

I have made this one with the Mariposa technique , a traditional south American weaving stitch. It allows me to use space and light between the rows of fiber.

This will look beautiful styled with shells, or as a sculptural piece on your table
