The pouches are made from off-cuts from a tailor in China (the Thai Silks) and offcuts from one of my dresses (the Dupion Silk), pieced to show the variation in the silks.
The pouches fit most tablets, but please check dimensions before purchase. They are padded with cotton wadding. Thai silks are noted for changing colours, depending on the direction that light falls on them, as can be seen in my amateurish video. It is difficult to show the glorious changes with a photograph.
Materials: Silk – outside and lining
Cotton - padding and threads
Synthetic - very thin interfacing
Plastic – replica of vintage button (on B and C)
Steel - press-stud
The button is only for decoration, and is on top of the press stud.
Cold or warm wash, using wool-wash, recommended. Dry in the shade. Warm iron.
Silk Colours:
Bag A Green is Dupion Silk (does not change colour), and Thai Silk for the orange (changes orange to yellow/cream) and light green (changes teal to yellow).
Bag B is entirely purple, but pieced (changes red to turquoise) (shown in video)
Bag C is all Thai silk – purple (changes red to blue), pink (changes red to blue), mauve (changes pink to turquoise), green (changes teal to cream/yellow)
