This quilt was so much fun to make - After making all the blocks I hand-sewed each circle in place. I quilted each block differently - spirals, wiggles, stars, scales, flowers as the block dictated. Then I washed it to remove my marks from the making, and some of the cream blocks picked up some pink from the red blocks. Calamity! But no - rather serendipity. Only some of the cream blocks picked up the colour, and thus they enhance the multi-red design.
The quilt is about 1.40 x 1.78 m, a neat size for a single bed with some overhang on the sides, or great for cuddling up in front of the TV, or tablet. Or cover a boring or worn lounge.
Washing is easy as the quilt is all cotton - washing machine cold or warm, then line dry or use a dryer.
