This ceramic dish is inspired by the colours of the Australian landscape, with scattered iron reds and deep charcoal tones moving across a glossy black surface.
The freeform shape was handbuilt and coincidentally echoes the outline of Australia, giving the piece a grounded, earth-connected feel that reflects soil, stone and open countries we live on.
Made using Australian stoneware clay and layered Australian glazes, allowing natural variation in colour and surface across the form.
Perfect as a small serving dish, jewellery tray, trinket holder or as a sculptural piece for shelf or table styling.
Handmade in Walyalup (East Fremantle), Western Australia.
