My name is Sue and I am passionate about using natural fibres to create beautiful one-of-a-kind, ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ accessories for you and your home, which are made with love and intention in my little studio in the northern coastal suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. These pretty hand plaited headbands are created with a variety of different fibres, which may include hand spun yarn, silk, and other natural fibres. These pieces are from our 'Rescued Remnants' collection which means they may have knots or other quirks, but are also full of character and a zero waste product from my studio. They are accompanied with a pair of cotton ribbons that I have woven by hand on a little wooden inklette loom.
These accessories are an eco-conscious option, as the fibres are naturally sustainable and compostable, ensuring that this handcrafted item can return to the earth after many cherished years, rather than adding to the enormous problem of textile waste produced by the mass made fashion industry.
They are one-size fits all and can be adjusted simply by moving the tie (bow) to where it sits comfortably around the head - please see the measurements below to ensure you select a suitable length. The child is wearing a 75cm headband. The mannequin is wearing a 88cm headband in the first photo.

The beautiful handwoven ribbons are created using quality cotton from France. Each set consists of two ribbons which look so sweet tied around a special little one's plaits or pig tails, or of course one can be used to tie around a single plait or pony tail.
Each ribbon is approximately 75cm's in length (2 per set), although the 'Woodland' ribbons are a bit shorter.
'Blossom' is created with deep blue, and coral pink threads.
'Sorbet' is created with pastel lilac and green threads.
'Spring' is created with pastel lilac, green and cream threads.
'Nautical' is created with cream and navy threads.
'Woodland' is created with cream and green threads.
These would look super sweet on little flower girls, fairy lovers or anyone with a touch of whimsy. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age and adult supervision is recommended.
