Ogham engraved tan leather dangle earrings

These beautiful handmade earrings are engraved with ancient Irish Ogham lettering. The inscription on the richly tanned leather reads "Lá Nua", which means "new day".

Materials & details: 

• Veg-tanned leather sourced from Australian small business

• Sterling silver ear hooks and silver-filled link rings (10% silver by weight, copper core)

• Size: approx. 10mm wide, 70mm drop, 3mm thick

• Hypoallergenic: Yes - sterling silver may be more suitable for sensitive skin than other metals.

• What about sustainability and the environment?
• As a precious metal, silver is infinitely reusable and recyclable, as is copper. Sterling silver can be readily melted down and reused over and over again. Genuine leather is an organic material which breaks down naturally in the environment. No other materials are used in these earrings.

• Each piece of jewellery comes with a hand-stamped jewellery card and is packaged in a reusable cotton drawstring pouch. For extra protection in transit I also use 100% recycled acid-free tissue wrap. Orders of 1 to 2 items are then packed in a rigid but slim cardboard mailing box. These boxes can be reused or recycled, and posting smaller parcels means fewer transport vehicles on the road.
