Our covers are not 100% organic as they do not touch the castor oil which making them 100% reusable.
They are also one size fit most. (we can make custom size if need be, please just ask)
The pads are 100% organic and can be used for months on end depending on how often you do a treatment.(We keep our pads, when not in use, in a glass jar)
The castor oil is pure, hexane free, glass bottled, infused by us with chamomile or lavender.
How does castor oil work?
Castor oil is a very unique vegetable oil, coming from the castor bean. It contains 90% ricinoleic acid, and the remainder is linoleic and oleic acid.
The ricinoleic acid has a unique fatty acid structure that is strikingly similar to that of Prostaglandin E1. that means it is a strong anti-inflammatory agent in our body.
If that wasn’t enough, the ricinoleic acid has a low molecular weight of 298 Daltons. Why does that matter? Because any constituent must be under 500 Daltons in order to absorb through the skin’s surface, also called transdermal absorption.
