- Material - tempered glass (low chance of breakage, if dropped - I know from experience!)
- Paint - spray acrylic and metallic acrylics
- Hanging thread - gold thread.

- Hanging length approx 16cm total length.
- Packaging - sustainably packaged in recyclable brown tissue paper and white cardboard boxes. Tied beautifully with a recycled sari silk ribbon.
- Original art: My artist's initials are signed on each wind-chime ornament.

I have made and gifted Christmas decorations for many years now, it's one of my favourite things to do! Whether these glass ornaments add to your collection or are gifted to someone else's, I hope that the peace, joy and delight I experience while painting are your experience in enjoying your ornament.
I love gum leaves! So much so that I painted them on my glass ornaments! My hope is that, while you can enjoy them at Christmas, they also lend themselves to enjoyment throughout the year too. Close to where I live is a walking track along a creek lined with many varieties of gum trees. I am constantly captivated by the different colours, shapes, and textures that can be seen in a gum tree. As I came to painting this year's ornaments, I loved the idea of including gum leaves in the design.
The back of each glass ornament was painted in one of four base colours - pink, blue, green and plum. I then handpainted each ornament with beautiful metallic paints in varying colours. The colours blend and flow into each other, the movement in the paint at times reflecting the imperfections seen in gum leaves in nature.
As the back is blank, you could write the recipients name, or a message, or the year. A posca marker would be effective for this purpose. If you would like me to add a name or a message, add this option to your checkout and I will write on it for you.
