A Spot of Colour is a handmade necklace made from new and re-purposed buttons. It features four black and white polka dot buttons that have been teamed with buttons in bright colours. Many of the buttons have two or even three stacked on top of each other. This unique necklace really stands out in a crowd because the colours are so vibrant. It would be perfect for work wear, especially if worn with a black or neutral coloured outfit.
I always design my pieces so they are comfortable and easy to wear. The wire allows just enough movement so that it moves when you do, while all the components stay in place. I have used gold craft wire with a large toggle clasp, which is easy to manipulate. It is very light and unlike some other button necklaces, the buttons go right around the neck.
