Blue Fluted Mug with Copper Speckle

Hand made fluted mug made from lovely speckled clay. Glazed in a mat royal blue. The firing technique I've used brings the iron specks in the clay through the blue as striking rusty coloured flecks.

Decorative fluting adds visual depth and tactile texture, and the rim was dipped in green, giving this mug a subtle hint of greeny blue around the top.
