The Messy Middle is our midweek reset and connection point:

As a handmade marketplace being able to make real connections is at the heart of what we do. No pressure. No rigid structure. Some weeks we plan, some weeks we share, some weeks we simply create alongside each other.

Each session is recorded so if you can't make it live you can watch the replay. Exclusively for all Madeit Members.

What about in the Growth 🚀 plan, what is the weekly accountability session?

These sessions are EXCLUSIVELY for Growth 🚀 members so that the energy and the focus is aligned for those artisans ready to grow & scale through accountability.

 

Practically this is a 30min zoom session each Monday 10.30am AEDT.

Why do I have to be a member to sell on Madeit?

Madeit operates as a membership because we are building more than a marketplace.

We are creating a connected handmade ecosystem. The membership model allows us to focus on quality over quantity, provide real support, and foster a community of artisans who are serious about growing their businesses.

This is not about listing and disappearing. It is about showing up and building something meaningful.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your membership at any time. There are no cancellation fees and you’re welcome to reapply in the future if you decide to return.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled securely through Stripe. Your membership is charged monthly, and you can cancel at any time.
All your sales payments are processed through Stripe too, with zero commissions and only a 2% + 35 cent transaction fee per sale. 

*We choose to partner with Stripe as they have fantastic human support, super clean tech and no delays with payments.

How do I get paid?

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our trusted payment partner. Once your orders are fulfilled, the funds go directly into your connected Stripe account, minus Madeit’s 2% + 35¢ transaction fee.

You’ll receive payouts within 3 business days of fulfilling your order.

They form the foundation of our promise to customers and our commitment to maintaining a genuine handmade artisan space. As technology evolves, we’ll continue to refine and uphold these guidelines to protect the integrity of handmade.

Australian Makers Only

You must reside in Australia and spend most of your time here.

Your creations must be made in Australia. While materials can be sourced elsewhere, the main value must be added locally.

To become a Seller on the Madeit platform you must provide your residential address (no PO boxes), your email address and your mobile number. This will never be shown publicly but must be included in your store details for verification.

Handmade By You

You must be personally involved in at least 50% of the creation process.

Machinery can only be used to improve quality or for tasks that can’t be done by hand.

You should be able to show your creative process if requested.

Any production runs of your work must be limited to 50 units or less and include your original artwork.

Original Artwork and Design

At least 50% of each piece must be your own original work or design.

Canva, stock images, or digital fonts can only make up less than 50% of the total design.

Editing or re-arranging someone else’s work (like removing backgrounds) doesn’t count as original.

3D and laser-cut items must be designed entirely by you.

Modified or Mixed Components

You can use purchased components only if at least 50% have been significantly altered or created by you.

Jewellery with pre-made parts must show your own creative input and design.

Any creation that is assembled (pre-made components joined) will not be accepted.

No Mass-Made or Resale Products

No products that are pre-assembled, drop-shipped, or resold without substantial handmade value.

Everything listed must be handmade, not hand-assembled.

No Copyrighted or Trademarked Content

Products must not include logos, trademarks, or licensed characters.

Character-inspired work must be original and clearly different from the original design.

Digital Artwork

Products made using computer-aided tools (such as ipads, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, Cricut, or digital embroidery equipment) are permitted only where the digital files, models, or templates used are your own original creations and considered significantly handmade. 

- Digital work must include a significant handmade or hand-finished component to qualify.

- Applicants must clearly describe how they are physically involved in the production of each item.

- Products created solely through digital automation or third-party services without meaningful handcrafting may not be approved.

We Are Not Currently Accepting

Drop-shipped or third-party fulfilled items.

Artwork that has been created purely with digital tools.

Products using trademarks, licensed logos, or copyrighted characters.

Mass-produced items that are simply personalised (e.g. with Canva fonts).

Internationally sourced craft supplies for resale.

Books, dolls, or doll clothing (except softie-style dolls).

Hygiene or sanitary products.

Junior creatives under 18 years old.
