About me
I’m an Indigenous woman Born in Derby, Western Australia. I’m of Nyikina descent and have connections in the West Kimberley. I grew up in The Northern Territory and it was not until I was an adult that I moved back to Derby W.A. to work. I met my partner and had kids and have been working as a Social Worker in different roles for the past 20 years.
Having lost my mum in recent years I needed something to distract me from the sadness of my loss and decided to take up sewing. I recall sewing on my mother’s Janome machine as a young person and I also enjoying sewing classes in high school. So, I decided to make a start and sew!
From there evolved a passion and keen interest in sewing products that people will use, enjoy and take comfort in. Sewing has been a wonderful way of allowing me to switch off from the pressures of life and work. We all have different ways in which we express our creative flow and to be able to share the things that we create with others makes it all the more meaningful.
My products are made with Love as part of my small business Pindan Heart Creations. Pindan is the local name for the red soil country of the Kimberley, Western Australia. The Kimberley is also the home of the baobab tree. Pindan heart products are hand made with Love in the Kimberley. Made in the town with the highest tides in Australia -Derby, WA.

Shipping Policy
Pindan Heart Creation Products are shipped out using Australia Post. Orders will be packed and delivered to Australia Post within 1-4 business days. This time frame may vary depending on communication with the buyer.
Busy season (for Pindan Heart Creations this is during dry season in the Kimberley from May – October annually) please allow up to 1-4 business days for order to be packed and delivered. Standard delivery can take between 2-10 business days. Please be mindful that Pindan Heart Creation products will be shipped from a regional location so please allow additional time for delivery, particularly if you are a customer living in a regional location.

Shipping is Australia Wide. Currently we do not offer international shipping. Once your package has been sent you will receive Tracking number via email. Tracking notifications for your shipment are only if applicable.
Returns or exchange policy
Change of mind
We strive to provide products that meet your high standard, however we also understand that some buyers may have a change of heart. If you would like to return your product due to change of mind – please return the product within 14 days of purchase. Please note that returns for Pindan Heart Products will only be accepted if the goods are returned in the original packaging, unused, no damages and with no stains or soiling on the fabric, otherwise a refund will not be issued. Please also be mindful that refunds due to change of mind will be provided upon approval and that the return postage will be at the expense of the buyer.
Damaged or Faulty item
Due to the handmade nature of pindan Heart Creation products, they may come with minor imperfections or slight difference in appearance. No one product will be exactly the same. These slight imperfections add to the handmade feel and uniqueness of the product.
However, if your product is faulty, damaged or incorrect please contact us via email and we will request a photograph of the product and the reason for return or refund. A replacement product or refund will be issued at Pindan Heart Creations discretion.
