Madonna Bain
My love for ceramics began at 16 when I first experimented with pottery in a high school art class. A few years later, I completed a Certificate III in Ceramics at TAFE, where I developed a deep appreciation for hand-building techniques. After a long break, I returned to ceramics in my 40s, reigniting my passion for clay through workshops and studio practice.
Each piece I create is a blend of artistry and function, inspired by ancient Asian dynasties, decorative Mexican and Spanish glazing, and the rustic charm of Provençal pottery. I love the balance between intricate details and organic, earthy forms—combining wheel-thrown and hand-built techniques to craft unique, small-batch ceramics.
My collections feature mugs, cups, bowls, vases, and jars, each made with care and intention. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or setting the table for a slow Sunday brunch, my hope is that these pieces bring warmth and beauty into your daily rituals.
All ceramics are handmade to order in small batches, embracing the natural variations that make each one unique. I post my pieces on my Instagram profile and if you see something you love feel free to request and I can make you one/many to order.
