About the artist
Caroline Barnard grew up in Kenya and was inspired by the sights and sounds of Africa. Moving to the UK, she gained a degree in Scientific Illustration and worked in London for several years as a freelance illustrator. Having travelled and taught Art around the world she now lives on Tamborine Mountain in Queensland.
Predominantly inspired by Nature, working from life and her own photographs, Caroline enjoys adding detail to her artworks to create a sense of realism. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather, her preferred medium is watercolour paint, and she enjoys the versatility that this brings to capture the beauty of her surrounding environment.
