Meet Bec | Tech Tester & Support

Bec and I met at the very first Madeit artisan meetup in the Northern Rivers. There was an instant connection, the kind you notice and quietly file away as something. Before Bec headed off on her travels around Australia, something had already shifted between us. Kismet is the only word for it.

 

Bec built the verification process from the ground up. Every help doc, every technical test, every step of the system that makes Madeit's verified badge actually mean something, that's Bec. She also handles all maker payments, which means every artisan who earns through Madeit has Bec in their corner. She has been instrumental in turning a vision into something real.

 

Bec is based in Ocean Shores, NSW.

Meet Stacey | Community Lead

Stacey didn't apply for a job at Madeit. She was just there. Consistently showing up in the community, enthusiastic in a way that stood out, positive in a way that lifted everyone around her. The kind of person you notice because you can't fake what she brings.

 

When it came time to bring someone into the Facebook community, there was only one person. Stacey now manages the Madeit Facebook community with a dedication that goes well beyond any job description. Her handmade obsession is real, her passion for the makers is real, and the community knows it. You simply cannot manufacture that. We didn't hire Stacey, she rose like a phoenix in this handmade space.

Meet Sue | Social Media Wizard

Sue was already part of the Madeit team when I arrived. Within about five minutes of meeting her I realised two things: she understood this community at a level that takes years to build, and she was not going to be doing my social media. That was Sue's world and she owned it completely.

 

Sue creates all of Madeit's social content. Every post, every story, every piece of content that goes out into the world comes from someone who is as blown away by this community as I am. You can feel that in the work. You can't manufacture that kind of genuine enthusiasm, and we'd never want to.

 

Sue is based in Perth, WA.
