I am a potter and ceramic artist based in Far North Queensland. I have the very great privilege to be able to work with clay full time after a 37 year long nursing career. I feel like I am on Cloud 9 when I working now, however I need to generate some income to be able to buy more clay ha ha. So in Chinese numerology the number 8 represents wealth and abundanceĀ and that is the reason I have called my shop Cloud 8.
I have a 2 pronged approach in creating artworks with clay. Because of my nursing background I am very comfortable with the circle of life having worked in ICU, Palliative Care and Maternity Units so I create a lot of custom and personalised items like cremation urns for people and pets, ceramic angels, flowers and such. My other passion is crafting functional, colourful earthenware that simply expresses the joy of life. From spoon rests and planters to other innovative pieces, my work is designed to bring happiness to everyday moments. I mostly hand-build from flat slabs of clay, but IĀ sometimes useĀ vintage moulds and the potterās wheel.

It is extremely important to me that you are happy with your purchase.
If you do need to return the item then to receive a full refund you will need to package up and post it back to me in it's original condition within 5 days. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
In the unlikely event of your purchase arriving damage please take lots of photos, preferably before, during and after unwrapping your parcel. Contact me as soon as possible and we will rectify the situation.
