Wool scarf eco printed with eucalyptus leaves from South Coast NSW
The leaves gave brilliant oranges and caramel tones
180cm x 32cm 100% Australian merino wool
salvaged sides with tassels at the end
a soft stunning scarf

The eco-printing process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for many hours. I use a piece of salvaged metal in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. I don't use any chemical or powdered mordants in any of my products. The scarves are colourfast and can be washed gently by hand with a pure soap. Iron on wool setting.
