Gorgeous barrel-shaped handbag with vintage styling. Just right to add a pop of classic style to your Winter wardrobe.
The main body of this bag has been cut from a piece of textured fabric found in a op shop (my guess is that its upholstery fabric). The front contrast panel is black suede cut from a skirt. The feature big coat buttons were also found in an op shop.
It is lined with white sheeting fabric featuring large black dots. The flap closes with a magnetic snap and the it has an internal double slip pocket.
It has fused interfacing inside of it which makes it semi-structured - it stands without collapsing but is still relatively soft and is very light to carry. This is such a great size for an everyday bag, and is very easy to use.
Size: 22cm across top and bottom, widening to 30cm across the middle. 26cm high, and approximately 10cm deep front to back at the bottom. The long strap is adjustable, so you can wear it across your body or sit the bag at whatever height suits you best.
This bag was made using The Bawdsey Bag pattern, designed by Emma Brennan for Charlie’s Aunt patterns.
