The front and back feature panels of this small tote bag were made from a piece of stunning upholstery fabric in vibrant red, black & charcoal on a white background (found in an op shop). The side panels and straps are upcycled from a pair of dark charcoal jeans. The zip on the front pocket is red to match the fabric colours.
The bag closes with magnetic clasps on small denim flaps. There is a zipped front pocket on the main panel.
The lining is bright red coloured cotton fabric dotted with flowers from a pretty dress donated by a friend. There is a zipped pocket on the inside back panel and a small slip pocket on the inside front panel.
Size: 34cm across, 26cm high, 7cm wide front to back. Straps 54cm long so the bag can be worn over a shoulder if desired.
The original design pattern for this bag is the Pelican Tote, by Bagstock Designs. I have modified the pattern in the creation of the actual bag.
