Don't cry over broken china - upcycle it!
This beautiful pendant is 3 x 4.5 cm and has been created using lead-free solder, with twisted copper wire. It comes on a 55 cm stainless steel chain that won't rust or leave skin discoloured, and sits perfectly on the decolletage.
To create this pendant, I used a number of different processes and specialist hand tools in order to shape the piece and secure the decorative hand-twisted wire with soldering. I've buffed the solder to give a smooth but matte finish, and have worn down some of the decorative wire to expose the copper and lean in to the overall vintage / boho vibe of the piece. Whilst some crazing may be expected on the china itself, this is a normal part of the aging process and in no way impacts the durability of the piece. This particular piece of china was taken from a saucer made in England by Roslyn Fine Bone China, with the design 'Picta'.
Fun Fact: Roslyn Fine Bone China was a brand used by the Royal Albert group between 1946 and 1963!
