Unfurling II | Original abstract acrylic wall art | 40x50cm | LIFECARE

The 'Unfurling' original artworks are currently part of the 'Finding My Way' exhibition at Crossway LifeCare. They will be on display there until the end of Term 1. Any purchases can be collected after this time.

Paint with me?
I have a lily in a pot in my dining room the constantly captures my attention with its growing leaves. I often draw and paint the lines and shapes. I wanted to paint a representation of it but not in it's normal colours. 

So I reach for a range of green inks for the background. I love watching the colours travel across the surface, blending and mixing. I begin the leaves also with inks, darker impressions of beautiful leaves. I mix a range of purples from reds and blues, what fun! They make for a new layer, which white to highlight. Gold and a pink-salmon to edge leaves and bring contrast. 

Then a gold pot that, depending on the light and the angle, might look brown, but on another angles looks shiny and bright! Also fun!

Size: 40x50cm (16x20 inches)

Tied with wax framer's string for secure hanging. 
Signed by the artist, Kym Corn, on the bottom right hand corner
Sealed with archival varnish to promote longevity of the work. 

All works come with a signed certificat of authenticity.
