This eye catching bag is tie dyed in a manner called stitched shibori. The circles, lines and little heart are all meticulously stitched first, then pulled up and tied and subsequently added to the dye bath, in this case a dark navy blue.
I have further accentuated the shapes with hand stitching using sashiko cotton thread.
More detail is added with my leather label and a button that I made from an avocado pip!
I ice dyed the fabric for the lining in contrasting pink and purple colours.
