Yay! I just finished painting this beautiful parrot tulip which I have titled ‘ striking flame’. I kept the background light so the petals would pop, without being dramatic with dark colours!
I was inspired to paint this parrot tulip because of the striking contrast — soft white petals torn through with bold red, full of movement and character. I was drawn to their dramatic shapes and the way they feel both elegant and wild at the same time.
