These earrings are hand-made by Leela from anodised aluminium with surgical steel findings. Each earring is an original, one-off art piece. They are lightweight and the colour is embedded in the metal, so will not fade or tarnish over time. They are coloured on both the front and the back.

Anodising aluminium is a specialised technique that allows colour to be embedded into aluminium metal. My work encompasses the entire creation process, from the electrochemical procedure of anodising the aluminium, through to the colouring, cutting, filing and finishing.
